Work on Via Pascoli began on the 10th of January, 2005. The project involved the repaving of the street section, improvements to underground service infrastructure, the planting of new trees and flower beds, the addition of new park benches and illumination.
Particular attention was paid to the new pavement that was designed
with the intent of evoking the image of the classic Tuscan landscape:
a sinuous and soft design characterized by curvilinear strips of
diverse coloration, hot and welcoming, that create a sequence of
islands, of ideal spaces for people to meet.
